Kick off for Kaiapoi Kids

On Tuesday 21st September, Rooms 4 & 3 decided to have a sale to raise money for Kaiapoi people. First we got into groups and did a brainstorm about what we were going to do. We sold toys and food for only 10c each. We raised $137 in our class and as a team we raised $497.80.

Daniel Carter's Visit

How lucky were we!
It was our first day back at school after the earthquake when we got a surprise. Daniel had come to see if his Mum and her class were ok after the earthquake. He listened to our stories and answered our questions. Daniel also gave us a signed rugby ball to help us make a difference for the children who were not as lucky as us in the earthquake. We have been learning how to add our voice recording onto our KidPix pictures about the needs of children.

Here we are, concentrating hard on what to do. We are following the instructions. We are learning how to be a teacher, and show another student what to do.
