Josh really cares

The Springston Rockets have been looking at what we need to survive and thrive. After seeing a photo of starving children in Niger, Josh wanted to send his dinner to them! How caring. I wonder what else we could do to help.

  1. You are very caring Josh. I am sure there must be ways to help if you ask your family.

  2. What a lovely idea Josh! I know of a young boy who did a fundraiser and collected coins from his family and neighbours to send over to a country that needed help. He actually raised enough money to help them build a well so they had running water in their village. Water is very important for us to survive and thrive.

  3. Ever hear of 40 hour famine? I found out about it from this post: http://damo13.edublogs.org/2010/08/09/40-hour-famine/comment-page-1/#comment-23

Maybe you could host a 40 hour famine as a fundraiser.

  4. Josh I think that wanting to send your dinner is a great idea! I know that there are some online games that you can play that help with giving free rice and Mr Chamberlain is right, maybe when the 40 hour famine comes up you could contribute towards that. I also really like the fact that you have the photo with your article, you can see the emotion in your face.
